Recognised as one of the few titled Advanced Paediatric Osteopaths in Australia, Dr Emily Jones (Osteopath) is highly qualified with a caring pair of hands. Equipped with extensive clinical education and experience, Emily has been treating families in Eltham since 2007.
It is important that you feel comfortable, so wear a loose shirt or t-shirt, and loose pants or shorts, or bring loose clothes with you to change into at the appointment. Your osteopath will need to observe the area of concern, so you may be asked to remove some clothing for the examination and treatment.
For babies and young children, please bring a nappy bag and a spare change of clothes.
Parking is available in the surrounding Eltham shopping precinct.
Please be aware that parking spaces out the front of the clinic only allow 30 minutes. Inspectors frequent the area so make sure you find a parking space with sufficient time.
As we are a family-centred clinic, you are welcome to bring other family members or children with you to the appointment as needed.
However, given the current COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that you please limit bringing any additional people with you where possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss this matter prior to your appointment.
The initial consultation will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. This will enable your osteopath to take a thorough history, to examine you and depending upon your condition, to treat you. Follow-up treatments are shorter, and will take approximately 30 minutes.
For breast (and bottle) feeding issues, we recommend you consider booking an extended consultation which combines osteopathy with lactation support. An extended initial consultation will take approximately 75 minutes to complete. If an extended follow-up appointment is also required, this will take approximately 45 minutes.
